Giving Back to our Community
We support the following charities, however we are open to helping additional (medical or children related) causes throughout the year by donating flights when we can...
The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter Service started from humble beginnings in Sydney in 1973 as a basic beach surveillance and rescue service, the Southern Region Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) Helicopter Rescue Service has developed into the largest non-profit search and rescue aviation service in Australia.
Today the Southern Region Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter Service is on standby ready to fly emergency and other missions 365 days a year, and operates from a purpose built hangar and base at Cape Banks on the northern headland of Botany Bay and Moruya Airport on the NSW south coast.
The aircraft are made available for tasking by emergency service groups, including the State Emergency Service, NSW Police Force, Fire Authorities, Surf Lifesaving and others, for the benefit of the people of Sydney and South Coast regions. www.lifesaver.org.au
